Arts workshops
Working with community, health and educational led organisations to facilitate creative arts workshops for participation and engagement in Arts, Health and Wellbeing.
Working with drawing, clay and objects sessions explore metaphor, sensory experience with material and narrative. I have worked with organisations on various projects for organisation such as Swansea Bay Health Board, Family & Therapy CIC and SPAN Arts.
My approach to facilitating workshop sessions is one that can nurture a sense of pause and presence. I hope to create a warm place, an invitation to slow down, create, and nurture sensitivity through art making. In the session participants have the opportunity to explore the senses through creativity, using various materials and processes of making. It's a chance to reconnect with what feels most authentic through the act of creating, whether this is through drawing, clay, sculpture, writing or other forms of artistic expression. A space for creativity and connection, both with oneself and with others.
Testimonial
“Sarah delivered an 8-week therapeutic art programme for Family and Therapy, bringing parents and children together to build healthy attachments and strengthen their relationships through play and creativity. From the very beginning, Sarah’s gentle nature, warm presence, and thoughtful encouragement created a safe and supportive atmosphere for the families.
Her sessions were beautifully considered and carefully planned, with creative resources that engaged everyone and supported meaningful moments of connection. Sarah’s organisation and attention to detail meant that each week built seamlessly on the last, giving families a consistent and nurturing space to grow together.
We are so grateful for Sarah’s contribution and the way she brings therapeutic art to life with such care, creativity, and professionalism.”
